Where there used to be dark fall protection slabs, there is now a lovingly designed castle playground below Altena Castle that delights children and families. The highlight of the new facility is an impressive 7 metre high slide tower - embedded in an imaginative play world with a knight's table, horse-drawn carriage and catapult seesaw.

The seamless PEGASOFT fall protection surface from BECO BERMÜLLER provides the necessary safety. The surface was not only designed to be functional, but also creative: with mounds, different colours and three customised thicknesses (110 mm, 70 mm and 50 mm), adapted to the respective fall height. The result is a child-friendly playscape that meets the highest standards of design, durability and impact absorption.
